Raising the roof for the F&CS Sarah and John Graves Center

Combined efforts and generosity from the Home Builders Association and Morningcrest Healthcare Foundation provide enough funding for a new roof.

The roof at the F&CS Sarah and John Graves Center, a building with an inflow of approximately 600 people a day, is leaking and in need of repair. Thankfully, with the generous support of the Home Builders Association’s (HBA) Charitable Foundation and Morningcrest Healthcare Foundation, enough funds have been raised to repair the roof that serves as F&CS’s gateway for many of the 114,000 clients we serve annually. In fact, between 600 and 700 clients walk through the doors each day at the Graves location, approximately 5% are brand new clients.

Two years ago, HBA chose F&CS as their fundraising beneficiary from funds raised at Evening of Giving. Last year, This year, the gala reached a new giving record and a check was presented to F&CS for $77,853.93 for total funds raised since 2016.

F&CS is grateful for the dedication and generosity of those with HBA who helped move the needle towards the total roof cost of approximately $120,000. The saying “it takes a village” holds true in more ways than one.

The $45,000 shortfall was filled by Morningcrest Healthcare Foundation, a foundation with a mission to support continuous improvement of the health status of residents of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. The combined funding makes it possible to fix the roof that houses F&CS’s children’s psychiatry, adult mental health outpatient services, pharmacy, PACT (program of assertive community treatment) team and call center.

Thank you to all involved in raising the roof for F&CS.

Evening of Giving sponsors included Honorary Chairs Ken & Judi Klein and Patron Chair, Chuck Ramsay. Other sponsors included TulsaPeople Magazine, Grant Homes, Weslock, CounterTop Solutions, Inc., Susan Eddings Perez, Tulsa Energy Control, Tulsa Winnelson, Ferguson Enterprises.
